In the late 1980s a vast collection of forensic crime photography, created by the NSW police between 1912 and 1960 was rescued by the Historic Houses Trust from a flooded warehouse. Four tonnes. of photographic material, including many glass plate negatives still in their original Kodak boxes The intention is not ghoulish but included here to accurately reflect the forensic character and purpose of this archive.
