Mounted photographs of visits to foreign ports made by ships of the line in the British Naval Fleet. Photographs of the British monarch, the ships, and their commanding officers are provided. Each port of call is documented over several pages by a series of smaller photographs (typically between 80 mm and 100 mm) showing a general pattern of scenes. These scenes include the main streets of the port visited Zanzibar, Market building in Sierra Leone, the Governor's House in Dar-es-Salaam, Town Hall, Adelaide and the people, dwellings, and daily activities of the inhabitants at each port of call.
